GF4:109 (1656): Who is it that dare limit the Holy One of Israel [Psa 78:41]? IP3:178 (1668): He that is faithful to the light of the Spirit (and to the discerning that is thereby) in the little [Luk 19:17], he shall receive more, he shall have his light and discerning thereby increased, as his need requireth. But he that stands disputing, and would have all his way made clear to him, before he sets one step in it; he is far from becoming that child, which the Father teaches, and administereth an entrance into the kingdom to [Mat 18:3].

WTG 362 (Ann Moore, 1761): And though this for which I was so nearly tried, was but a small thing, yet if we are not faithful in a little, more will not be committed to our trust [Luk 19:17].

DFR 54 (17–) : I had a sight that, if I were obedient to my duty, I might be made a useful member of the church, and as a pillar in God’s house [Rev 3:12]; but having so long rebelled, I now had no reason to expect that I should be as useful as I might have been, had I rendered early obedience to the heavenly call. WPR 307 (1674): I say, what else can be the tendency of this kind of doctrine against the sufficiency of the Light within, than that the gift of God is not perfect [Jas 1:17], or able, because men don’t obey it: and that the talent God has given to all, is therefore insufficient for the end to which it is given, because man hides it in a napkin [Luk 19:20]?

GF7:262 (1664): And people shall come to worship God, that made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is therein [Psa 146:6], and the beast's worship, and dragon's worship, and the great whore's church is falling, (the true woman is coming up,) false prophets are falling, true prophets and true witnesses are rising and risen [Rev passim]. Sing, triumph, and rejoice; glory in the highest [Luke 9:38]! trample, tread, and bow them before the mighty God: let the wicked bow before the gates of the righteous [Prov 14:19].

IP1:133 (1659): Many have fallen, and more must fall; for the sharp axe of the Lord is prepared to cut down every professor, with all his profession and religious practices, and imitations from scripture, which stand not in the pure life [Mat 3:10 | Luk 3:9]. Happy art thou, if thou now fall by that hand, which now strikes at many in great lovingkindness and mercy, that he might raise them up again, and fix them firm on a true foundation; but miserable whose eyes are withheld till the day of their visitation be overslipt [Luk 19:41-44], and so they continue keeping their corrupt standing, and confidence in their fleshly knowledge of the Scriptures: for they also must fall; but their fall will be otherwise.

DFR 9f (17–): ...the adversary of all good tempted me to believe that it was too late to think of obtaining peace with my Maker; for this plain reason, "that as there was a day or time, in whihc men might be saved; so, if they let that opportunity pass away unimproved, it would be in vain to attempt it afterward."
