JN1:20,222 (1653): But flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption, for we shall all be changed [1 Cor 15:50f]. But they who cannot witness the first resurrection [Rev 20:6] within themselves know nothing of the second but by hearsay.

JSS 63: The "first resurrection" is Christ; and therefore, every soul in whom the new birth, the begotten of God, is brought forth, has "part in the first resurrection." [Rev 20:6] This is out of the power of death, and in the spring of life forever; for Christ, the begotten, triumphs over death, as well as in all the seed, in all his joint-heirs [Rom 8:17] and brethren, as in one prepared body [Heb 10:5]. IP1:392 (1660): The Lord must pity the dust of Sion [Psa 102:13f G], and, by his everlasting strength and compassion, raise up the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down [Amos 2:11], or it can be restored no more. Rev 21:3.

WPR 35 (1668): He stands at the door of every heart, and knocks, if by any means he may be heard and have admittance [Rev 3:20], whereby God's promise may be fulfilled, that God will dwell with men; and my testimony is, that a remnant have obeyed this heavenly voice, and now walk in this pure light in which God Almighty is known to tabernacle with them [Rev 21:3].

GF8:167 (1679): So the believers do feel a living spring springing up in them to eternal life [John 4:14], from the fountain from whence it cometh. MFS 71 (1666): The night of apostasy draws to an end and the true light now shines, the morning light, the bright morning star, the root and offspring of David [Rev 22:16]. He is risen.... The joy of the morning is come [Psa 30:5]. The bride, the Lamb's wife [Rev 21:9], is making herself ready, as a bride that is adorning for her husband [Rev 21:2]. To her is granted that she shall be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, and the fine linen is the righteousness of the saints [Rev 19:8]. The holy Jerusalem is descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God, and her light is like a jasper stone, clear as crystal [Rev 21:10f].

RBA 445, RBAF 404 (1678, XV.6): Yea, we see that the angel twice refused this kind of bowing from John [Rev 19:10, Rev 22:8f] for this reason, "because I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren"; abundantly intimating that it is not lawful for fellow-servants thus to prostrate themselves one to another (and in this respect all men are fellow-servants).

GF5:140 (1675): "Seal not the up the words of this book, for the time is at hand. He that is unjust and filthy, let him be unjust and filthy still." So he will plead fror his filthiness as long as he liveth. "And he that is just and righteous, let him be just and righteous still." MFS 77 (1666): Revelations 22:17 [saith]: "The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come.'" So is not the bride the church? Does the church only consist of men? You that deny women's speaking, answer: does it not consist of women, as well as men? Is not the bride compared to the whole church? Does not the bride say, "Come"? Does not the woman speak then, the husband, Christ Jesus, the Amen [Rev 3:14]? Does not the false church go about to stop the bride's mouth? GF7:206 (1661): The word of God cannot be bound [2 Tim 2:9], which makes rich, which lives for ever; in which is the life. So, do not quench the spirit [1 Th 5:19], nor add to the prophecy, nor diminish; that keeps you from the plagues, and to see your names written in the Lamb's book of life [Rev 22:18f]: there stands your joy everlasting, through which ye see the white stone [Rev 2:17], through which light, power, and seed, ye overcome that which is gone forth from God. IP4:147 (1671): Those who are unlearned and unstable in the mystery of truth, are wresters of Scripture [2 Pet 3:16]. They cannot understand things as they are, not having the key; and so they wrest them, and strive to make them speak, as they apprehend and would have them. And here in this state, in this wisdom, is both adding to, and diminishing from, the holy words of truth [Rev 22:18f]; for in many places they add of their own conceivings, and in other places diminish from the drift and intent of God's Spirit.

WPR 599 (WPT 400, 1694): It is one of the dreadful sayings in the book of God, that he that adds to the words of the prophecy of this book, God will add the plagues written in this book [Rev 22:18]. To keep back the counsel of God, is as terrible; for he that takes away from the words of the prophecy of the book, God shall take away his part out of the book of life [Rev 22:19]. And truly, it has great caution in it to those that use the name of the Lord, to be well assured the Lord speaks, that they may not be found of the number of those that add to the words of the testimony of the prophecy which the Lord giveth them to bear; nor yet to mince or diminish the same, both being so very offensive to God.
