MFS 114, MFU 452, HPS 253 (1690): Those who keep single and chaste unto him: they need not fear evil tidings [Psa 112:7] nor what man can do [Heb 13:6], for He that has all power in heaven and earth [Mat 28:18] in his hand–He will surely keep His own church and family, those that worship him within the measuring line that measures the temple, the altar, and those that worship therein [Rev 11:1]. They are kept safe, as in the hollow of his hand.

WDS 139 (1655): And all thy strict observing of the outward forms, is but imitating the saints' practices, in the Babylonish and heathenish wisdom. GF7:342 (1669): But when the apostasy came in, and the true church fled into the wilderness, which was to continue there one thousand two hundred and sixty days [Rev 12:6], and the witnesses prophesied in sackcloth one thousand two hundred and sixty days [Rev 11:3], and the beast was worshipped just so long, one thousand two hundred and sixty days [= 42 months x 30, Rev 13:5]; and then all things went out of order, and every thing was wanting in that time they worshipped the dragon and the beast; and the devil made the world like a wilderness [Isa 14:12-17].

EQ 541f (Robert Barclay, 1676): There might be some scattered ones here and there in a nation, and now and then one in an age who by the power and virtue of the Spirit of Life [Rom 8:2] working in them might be truly sanctified, yet these were but as "witnesses in sack cloth" [Rev 11:3], no ways sufficient to give these assemblies in which they were engrossed the appellation of the Church of Christ.

GF7:255 (1664): Christ's rod [Rev 12:5] shall and will devour all the serpents and lying wonders of the spiritual Egypt and Sodom [Rev 11:8], yea, and all the serpents that be in all nations; for all nations are to be ruled by it. GF7:143 (1657): And in the son of God's power live, for all power in heaven and earth is given to him [Mat 28:18]; who is to subdue all the powers of darkness [Col 1:13], and to make the kingdoms of the world his kingdom [Rev 11:15].

MFS 30f (1660: His kingdom, which shall never be destroyed (and shall not be left to other people, but will break in pieces and consume all kingdoms) [Dan 2:44]: this is arising. The Ancient of Days is coming to sit in judgment in the saints of the Most High [Dan 7:22]. The kingdoms of the world are becoming the kingdoms of the Lord and of his Christ [Rev 11:15]. The little one shall become a thousand and the small one a great nation. The Lord will hasten it in his time [Isa 60:22].

EQ 114 (James Nayler, 1658): Now you that cry, "The kingdoms of the world are become the kingdoms of the Lord and of Christ" [Rev 11:15], see that it be truth in you, and that you lie not within yourselves. The Lamb's War you must know before you can witness his kingdom, and how you have been called into this war, and whether you have been faithful and chosen there or no [Rev 17:14].

IP1:252 (1659): Now mark: he that calls anything the church, but what this book calls the church, he adds [Rev 22:18]; he that doth not know the wilderness, and own the church in the wilderness [Rev 12:6], he diminishes [Rev 22:19]. The church of Rome [Scotland, England] is not the church in the wilderness; the several gathered churches are none of them the church in the wilderness; all these have sprung up since the church's flight, and have appeared in her absence, usurping her name, and appropriating it to themselves; but God, who gave it to the church, hath not given it to them; and so they must lose it again, when God brings back the church out of the wilderness.

GF8:40 (1672): Women are to prophesy [1 Cor 11:5]; and prophecy is not to be quenched [1 Th 5:19f]. They that have the testimony of Jesus, are commanded to keep it [Rev 12:17], whether men or women.
