4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

JN2:448 (1655): ...thou sayest no mere man, as from Adam, can approach or see the Lord's throne in heaven. I say thou babblest thou knowest not what. Who must appear before his throne, if none as from Adam must? [quotes Rev 3:21] Did not John see the throne and him that sat thereon [Rev 4:2], and Stephen also, and was not they from Adam?

IP4:81 (1671): And truly this administration of the Spirit and power of the gospel is exceeding glorious, and they that come into it come into the glory and heavenly dominion and authoirty of the Lord Jesus Christ (and so are made kings by him [Rev 5:10], and wear crowns in his presence [Rev 4:4], though they still cast them at his feet [Rev 4:10]), and are changed from glory to glory; and behold, as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord [2 Cor 3:18], which none can do but with the eye which is in some measure changed and glorified.

GF5:353 (1677): And so Christ is our high priest, that gives light and fire to the lamps, and lights the candles, the spirits of men, with his heavenly divine light and fire, so that their lamps may burn always in the tabernacle [Lev 24:2] or temples, whose bodies are the temples of God [1 Cor 6:19]; for Aaron lighted the outward lamps and dressed them, and the candlesticks: but Christ lights the inward and dresses them. And Aaron's seven lamps which were outward [Num 8:2f], were a type of the seven lamps of fire, which burn before the throne of God, which seven lamps are the seven spirits of God. (Rev 4:5)

EQ 300 (Edward Burrough, 1657): Again, concerning Christ we believe that he is one with the Father [John 10:30], and was with him before the world was [John 17:5]; and what the Father worketh it is by the Son; for he is the arm of God's salvation, and the very power and wisdom of the creator [1 Cor 1:24]; and was, is, and is to come [Rev 4:8], without beginning or end [Heb 7:3].

GF7:76 (1654): And in this covenant of light and life, (the gift of God,) know one another, and him by whom the world was made, who was before the world was [John 1:1,3]; who is now again manifested, (Glory and honour for ever be unto the Lord!) GF5:130f (1675): And the Lamb opening the sixth seal, [quotes Rev 6:15-17]. Think on this, ye that have been our persecutors above these twenty-six years, for the wrath of the Lamb will find you out. When the sun is turned as black as sackcloth of hair, and ye know the great earthquake [Rev 6:12], then ye will not scoff at, nor persecute the people of God, in scorn called Quakers.

GFJN 22 (16–): In the year 1648 ... I saw there was a great crack to go throughout the earth, and a great smoke to go as the crack went; and that after the crack there should be a great shaking. [Rev 6:12-14] This was the earth in people's hearts, which was to be shaken before the seed of God was raised out of the earth. And it was so; for the Lord's power began to shake them, and great meetings we began to have, and a mighty power and work of God there was amongst people, to the astonishment of both people and priests.

GF7:167 (1659): And keep out and over ... all those fallen spirits, that quarrel, jangle, and contend about outward things, and have a life in them; through which they are eaten out from the life and truth of God. And such become as the dross [Ezek 22:29], and they come to be as the untimely figs [Rev 6:13], and as the corn and grass on the house-top [Psa 129:6].

JN2:240 (1655): And thou sayest, our antiscriptural inventions will of themselves shortly fall to the ground like a fig tree casteth her untimely figs when 'tis shaken by the wind [Rev 6:13]. I say, inventions are thine who hath not the light of the Spirit in thee, but for our fall, that is the false prophet that speaks in thee, and so it shall be seen, every day more and more, the might of the wind of the liar cannot shake our foundation [Mat 7:25/Luke 6:48] .

IP3:317 (1674): And this is the reason that many that make a fair show for a while, yet afterward come to nothing (but are like untimely figs [Rev 6:13], or like corn upon the house-tops, which hastily springeth up, but soon withereth [Psa 129:6/Mat 13:5f], because they either never rightly learn, or keep not to the cross.

IP4:84 (1671): There is man's kindling a fire there, a beating out sparks there, with which he compasseth about and warmeth himself [Isa 50:11], getting unto himself peace and joy, hope and confidence &c. But when the Lord appears, and his voice is heard (when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth, yea, and the heavens also [Heb 12:26]), all these will be shaken, and fall like untimely figs at the rushing of a mighty wind [Rev 6:13] and terrible tempest.

HPS 483 [Mary Waite, 1679]: ...terrible will be that day [Joel 2:31] to all the unfaithful and disobedient. All the sinners in Sion shall be afraid, fearfulness shall take hold on the hypocrite [Isa 33:14]. Dread and horror shall surprise them. O whither will you unfaithful fly! would not you be glad that either rocks or mountains, could hide you from the presence of the Lord, and the wrath of the Lamb [Rev 6:15-17].

GF7:105 (1655): So that the power being lived in, it keeps you over all the world in the dread and majesty of truth, in cleanness and newness of life [Rom 6:4]; and to know the wrath of the lamb [Rev 6:16] against all his enemies.

IP4:433 (1679): The wrath and strength of the spirit of darkness will be working against the Lord and his power to the utmost; and the more it works against the Lord and his power, the more will the Lord's power, and the wrath of the Lamb [Rev 6:16] be revealed against that spirit, and against all the devices and undertakings against the counsel and power of the Lord.
